8 Ball Billiard

8 Ball Tip #1: Three-Ball Rule

“The game of golf would lose a great deal if croquet mallets and billiard cues were allowed on the putting green.”  -Ernest Hemmingway, 1899-1961

8 Ball: Three-ball rule This is a very simple rule that you have to keep in mind whenever you're playing 8 ball.  What it means is to simply have a minimum of three shots properly planned ahead of time.  But of course, it's always good to have a well-defined plan for the entire rack. And over time, you have to aim for it.  Normally, many casual players have a plan for two shots, while there's nothing wrong with it, it would not allow them to oversee some opportunities that might have given them easier route for winning.  Having minimum of three planned shots would allow to capture these opportunities.

No matter what...You have to always take your time do some careful planning before making your shots regardless of the layout of the balls, easy or hard rack situation.  Therefore, it's always good to use this skill every time you play, not only 8 ball but other billiard game as well, in order to build a good planning system and to become a routine for you.  Like what they say, fail to plan is to plan to fail.  So again, go for a minimum of three ball at a time.

Good Luck!
