Action - When a billiard game is played with some money involved.
Ahead Session - a billiard match in which a player must win a predetermined number of games
over the playing opponent.
Air barrel - A billiard cliché when a losing player calls for a last money game even knowing the
fact he/she already ran out of money.
Angle Shot - a.k.a cut shot. A billiard on an object ball that includes some angle.
Bad hit - a situation when the cue did not hit the designated
object ball that results into a foul.
Ball in hand - a billiard rule that allows an incoming
player to place the cue ball anywhere on the table
after foul is committed by playing opponent.
Bank Shot - a billiard shot where the object ball hits one or more rails before going
into the pocket.
Behind the Line - a situation in which a ball is located within the area bounded by
the head string and head rail.
Billiard - a billiard shot in which the cue ball glances off the designated object ball and
pocketing a different object ball.
Break - The opening shot of every new game. The object balls are racked together.
Bridge - The use of hand or mechanical bridge to hold the shaft end of a cue in place
during a billiard shot.
Bridge hand - The hand that is used for bridging.
Busted - used to describe a player who lost all the money.
Butt - in a two-piece billiard stick, this is the half where you can find the handle wrap.
